Abstract

The text proposes a path on the theme of the earthquake proceeding by rebounds, starting from images, contexts, situations that illustrate over time and in various situations the common feeling about the earthquake, the way in which we tried to explain the phenomenon, the spirituality to which we have resorted to protect ourselves, how art has represented and used it up to how the human soul has perceived it in various moments and places of our history. Clearly it will not be an exhaustive text and will proceed by rebounds, skipping many passages and many things that the earthquake binds and can evoke. The filling in of the blanks can be left to the reader if he/she is intrigued by some themes and wants to plumb others related to the theme of the earthquake. It is clearly not a scientific text, a research yes, a journey through situations, images that involve our thinking when it bounces around the theme of the earthquake.
