AIM AND SCOPE
QUADERNI di Geofisica: Open Science and Accessibility to All
Founded in 1998, QUADERNI di GEOFISICA represents an important showcase of many technological and research activities carried out by INGV researchers and technicians, and beyond. Its publishing profile does not fit the traditional categories of standard scientific journals in the field; nevertheless, its dissemination is of fundamental importance for the development of the Institute itself. Published in Italian and English, QUADERNI di GEOFISICA is characterized by its strong inclination to host scientific works that place particular emphasis on the publication of data, measurements, observations, and their processing, even at a preliminary stage, that require rapid dissemination within the national and international scientific community.

An interactive reading experience
The publishing model adopted by QUADERNI di GEOFISICA is based on monographic publications distributed in flipbook format and in electronic-only (e-only) mode. The flipbook format allows for the dissemination of articles enriched with multimedia and interactive elements, while a dedicated image gallery, available at the time of online publication, displays all images at maximum resolution, accompanied by their respective captions.

QUADERNI di GEOFISICA is identified by the ISSN code 1590-2595 , ensuring maximum visibility and recognition within the international scientific panorama.
Each issue published since 2012 has been assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), a digital "standard" that uniquely and permanently identifies the document. A process is currently underway to assign DOIs also to earlier publications.
