Strong-motion data processing is necessary to evaluate reliable ground-motion for seismological and engineering applications. To this end, a waveform processing tool fully integrated within the Engineering Strong-Motion (ESM) database [1] was implemented [Luzi et al., 2016; Puglia et al., 2018] and is now updated with an enhanced automatic processing framework [Mascandola et al., 2023] that increases the efficiency of the ESM processing system. Before releasing the updated tool, we test different Obspy [Krischer et al., 2015] functions for waveform resampling, integration and differentiation, in the workflow of the ESM processing scheme [Paolucci et al., 2011].
