Management manual for the Health and Safety Supervisor at INGV. Technical-regulatory Guidelines

Abstract

This manual provides useful, fundamental and comprehensive support for the informed playing of the Supervisor’s role who, operating in contexts that are often various and unpredictable by nature, such as those of scientific research and the legal world about health and safety workplaces protection, may encounter difficulties or adverse and unexpected events which disrupt the regular performance of his activities, especially when operating in outdoor scenarios (e.g. volcanic, seismic, environmental).
Through a regulatory and organizational framework of Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), the manual contextualizes the not always immediate identification of the Supervisor, clarifying his tasks and the supplementary training on the subject, and providing useful suggestions regarding the operational and management methods within the scope of research and technological innovation.
