Progettazione e realizzazione di un modello 3-D del pianeta Terra per attività di divulgazione
Main Article Content
Abstract
The 3-D model of planet Earth was created for scientific dissemination, aiming to illustrate to children and visitors the Earth’s internal structure. By directly and tangibly representing its scaled dimensions, it enhances the effectiveness of describing and discussing natural phenomena occurring on our planet. The design and construction of the model were deliberately conceived following the idea of recycling and reusing of waste materials, which is believed to be increasingly important in all fields of human activity. Recycling objects is the first step in educating children about environmental respect, which is why the choice was made to adopt a sustainable design approach through upcycling.
Upcycling, also known as “creative reuse”, refers to the use of discarded materials to create new objects of higher quality than the original material, with the aim of extending their lifecycle and providing benefits for the surrounding environment.
