The development of the algorithm AUTOMAT is part of the broader project of the monitoring system for the effects of seismic resentment on a region, implemented through a network of people belonging to Civil Protection Volunteer Associations operating in the Emilia-Romagna Region, trained to map seismic effects. The survey is carried out by filling out an online form, containing closed-ended questions relating to the sensations and reactions perceived by the population, as well as the effects observed on objects and buildings.
