MISCELLANEA INGV: Open and Accessible Science for All

 

Founded in 2008, MISCELLANEA INGV represents a type of publishing that is not traditionally catalogued in ordinary scientific journals, but whose dissemination is of fundamental importance to the development of the Institute itself. 

Published in Italian and English , MISCELLANEA INGV offers a space for the publication of heterogeneous materials which, while not falling into the more structured formats of other INGV series, are of scientific, technical or popular interest.

MISCELLANEA INGV are available online, free of charge for authors and readers. This publishing model ensures the widest possible dissemination of scientific knowledge in a fair and accessible manner.

 

A hub for research and innovation: Focus on Geosciences

MISCELLANEA INGV collects and promotes a wide range of scientific contributions, including monographs of significant interest, collections of articles, scientific project reports, conference  proceedings , manuals, etc.

This dynamic, multidisciplinary archive is constantly updated with the latest research in the geosciences.

 

An interactive reading experience

The editorial model adopted by MISCELLANEA INGV is monographic publications distributed in flipbook format and electronically (e- only ). The flipbook format allows for the dissemination of articles enriched with multimedia and interactive elements, while a dedicated image gallery , upon online publication, displays all images at full size, complete with captions.

 

Maximum visibility and recognisability

MISCELLANEA INGV is identified by the ISSN code 2039-6651 , guaranteeing maximum visibility and recognisability in the international scientific panorama. 

Each issue published since 2012 has been assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), a digital "standard" that uniquely and permanently identifies the document. A process to assign DOIs to previous publications is underway.
