AIMS AND SCOPE
MISCELLANEA INGV: Open and Accessible Science for All
Founded in 2008, MISCELLANEA INGV represents a type of publishing that is not traditionally catalogued in standard scientific journals, yet whose dissemination is of fundamental importance to the development of the Institute.
Published in Italian and English , MISCELLANEA INGV provides a space for the publication of heterogeneous materials which, although not fitting into the more structured formats of other INGV series, are of scientific, technical or outreach interest.
Digital, Open Access and Non-Profit
MISCELLANEA INGV is available online, free of charge for both authors and readers. This publishing model ensures the widest possible dissemination of scientific knowledge in a fair and accessible manner.
A hub for research and innovation: Focus on Geosciences
MISCELLANEA INGV collects and promotes a wide range of scientific contributions, including monographs of significant interest, collections of articles, scientific project reports, conference proceedings, manuals, and more.
This dynamic and multidisciplinary archive is constantly updated with the latest research in the field of geosciences.
An interactive reading experience
The editorial model adopted by MISCELLANEA INGV consists of monographic publications distributed in flipbook format and in electronic-only (e- only ) mode. The flipbook format allows for the dissemination of articles enriched with multimedia and interactive elements, while a dedicated image gallery, available at the time of online publication, displays all images at full resolution, complete with respective captions.
Maximum visibility and recognition
MISCELLANEA INGV is identified by the ISSN code 2039-6651 , ensuring maximum visibility and recognition within the international scientific panorama.
Each issue published since 2012 has been assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), a digital "standard" that uniquely and permanently identifies the document. A process is currently underway to assign DOIs to earlier publications as well.
