Le COLLANE editoriali INGV represents a cornerstone of scientific dissemination by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV). It provides a free and inclusive publication space for the scientific community through the journal QUADERNI di Geofisica  and the technical-scientific series  RAPPORTI tecnici INGV  and MISCELLANEA INGV.

Le COLLANE editoriali INGV follow the Diamond Open Access, guaranteeing free and unlimited access to articles promoting the dissemination of scientific knowledge without any restrictions.

A hub for research and innovation: Focus on Geosciences
The main areas of study are Environment, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and cross-cutting topics like the Third Mission and the Management of Research Infrastructures, in line with  INGV's Three-Year Activity Plan.

An interactive reading experience
The editorial model used is of monographic publications available in e-only format . The flipbook design allows the dissemination of articles enriched by multimedia and interactive elements, while a dedicated image gallery , upon online publication, makes all figures displayed at full size, accompanied by their captions.  

 

Maximum visibility and recognisability

Each journal in Le COLLANE editoriali INGV is assigned an ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) code, ensuring maximum visibility and recognition in the international scientific community.

Since 2020, every issue has also been assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), a digital "standard" that uniquely and permanently identifies the pubblication. A process is underway to assign DOIs to previous publications as well.

 

No publishing costs

Publishing is completely free of charge.
