In November 2023, the first Symposium of the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) was held in Terrasini, in the province of Palermo. The Symposium was organized with the following goals: • Plan the future scientific development of the institute; • Strengthen collaboration between the 11 INGV Sections; • Program the growth of infrastructure and their interoperability; • Assess the weaknesses of INGV’s organization and propose effective solutions; • Identify priorities to improve workplace well-being; • Discuss and implement the INGV’s Three-Year Activity Plan (In Italian: Piano Triennale di Attività - PTA).
