Web Platform for Monitoring and Management of the Etna Observatory’s Mobile Seismic Network Stations
Main Article Content
Abstract
This technical report presents the architecture, operational flow, and implementation choices underlying a centralized web platform designed for real-time monitoring of the operating status of Mobile Seismic Network managed by the Etna Observatory. The platform was developed to overcome the inherent limitations of manual supervision processes by introducing an automated system capable of continuously integrating and analyzing heterogeneous data streams, including status CSV files and images of daily seismogram data automatically generated by Python scripts. The application, developed in ASP.NET Core 8 following the Razor Pages model, constitutes a fully automated monitoring system. Thanks to the use of background services based on IHostedService, the system ensures continuous monitoring of critical parameters such as battery voltage and connectivity stability, and automatically triggers immediate notifications in the event of any detected anomalies.
The unified interface, enhanced by an interactive geospatial dashboard and signal history analysis modules, provides users with an immediate and highly informative overview. Automated checks reduce fault detection times and facilitate intervention planning (managed within the same interface), limiting network downtime.
